4.01 Health Outcomes

This page includes data on length and quality of life. Rankings for health outcomes are based on a combination of measures from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These measures include: the number of years of potential life lost before age 75, the percentage of live births with low birthweight (i.e., less than 2,500 grams) from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics, the percentage of adults reporting fair or poor health, and the average number of physically and mentally unhealthy days reported in the past month in the CDC’s Behavior Risk Factor Surveillance System.
