7.03 Sustainability

This page includes data that provide two perspectives on environmental sustainability. The first data set, from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, measures recycling program performance in terms of waste recycled in pounds per capita. The second data set is from the US Energy Information Administration and includes the amount of energy generated (in megawatts) at local power plants from renewable energy sources. Not all generating plants are required to report output to the federal government, therefore renewable energy sources here include only biofuels and hydroelectric power.
